Eva-Maria Westbroek is undoubtedly one of the most praised and admired opera singers in the world. She has performed at the most important opera houses and festivals, including the Bayreuth Festspiele and the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Opéra de Paris, the Metropolitan Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Teatro alla Scala Milano, the Semperoper Dresden and the Bayerische Staatsoper München. Career highlights to date include Sieglinde at the Metropolitan Opera, the Bayreuth Festival, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the San Francisco Opera and in concert with Sir Simon Rattle and the Bayerischer Rundfunk; Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana at De Munt, the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden; Katerina Ismailova in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk at the Royal Opera House and De Nationale Opera; Minnie in La fanciulla del West at the Wiener Staatsoper and the Metropolitan Opera; and Maddalena in Andrea Chénier opposite Jonas Kaufmann at the Royal Opera House, and in concert with Opera Australia in Sydney and Melbourne. At the Opéra de Paris Eva made her debut in the role of Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmélites and was later invited to sing Chrysothemis in Elektra, Elisabeth in Tannhäuser and Katerina Ismailova in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk. Eva also received universal acclaim for singing the title role in the world premiere of Turnage's Anna
Nicole with the Royal Opera House.
Recent engagements include a return to the Bayerische Staatsoper for Giorgetta in Il tabarro, followed by a recital with Thomas Oliemans and Malcolm Martineau at the Wigmore Hall, London, and the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Eva also returned to the Opéra de Paris and the Palau de les Arts Valencia for the role of Marie in Wozzeck.
Throughout her career Eva has sung with distinguished orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Orchestre de Paris, and has collaborated with acclaimed conductors including Marek Janowski, Antonio Pappano, Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, Lorin Maazel, Edo de Waart, Mariss Jansons, Valery Gergiev, Lothar Zagrosek, Christoph von Dohnányi, Christian Thielemann, Carlo Rizzi and Fabio Luisi. She has performed in opera productions directed by Martin Kušej, Barbara Frey, Nikolaus Lehnhoff, Guy Joosten, Francesca Zambello, David Pountney, Vera Nemirova, Richard Jones, Keith Warner, Christof Loy, Robert Carsen, Andrea Breth and Richard Eyre, to name but a few.
Eva's wide range of distinctions and awards includes first prize at the Dutch VSCD Classical Music Awards in the category Most Impressive Individual Artistic Achievement, laureate of the Angelica Catalani Competition and the Santa Margherita Ligure Competition, a Grammy nomination for Wozzeck with De Nationale Opera, and the title of Kammersängerin of the Staatsoper Stuttgart, the company with which she was a member of the ensemble from 2001 to 2006. Since 2014 Eva has been an ambassador for Musicians without Borders, a charity close to her heart.

Daan Boertien
Daan Boertien is a Dutch concert pianist who has specialised in Lied accompaniment. He has recently performed with internationally acclaimed singers such as Benjamin Appl and Roderick Williams. His debut CD with baritone Michael Wilmering was received with glowing praise from the international press. Since 2020 Daan has been an Associate Artist at the Dutch National Opera Studio. He won the Berenberg Prize in 2020, the DAAD Prize in 2019, and the audience prize of Dutch Classical Talent in 2018 together with baritone Raoul Steffani. He also won first prize at the Gustav-Mahler-Wettbewerb in Hamburg.

Daan studied with David Kuyken at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and at the HfMT Hamburg, with the German Lied specialist Burkhard Kehring. He has recently received important musical impulses from György Kurtág and Alfred Brendel.
Daan has performed at festivals including the Internationaal Liedfestival Zeist, the Prinsengrachtconcert, the Harmos Festival (Porto), the Achava Festspiele (Weimar), Festival Jeunes Virtuoses (Tunis) and the Delft Chamber Music Festival. He has also given concerts at the Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, the Nationale Opera and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. He is regularly heard on NPO Klassiek and seen on Podium Klassiek.
